Our primary connection to the Internet is via a fibre link to our equipment at a telecommunications centre at 151 Front St. W. in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada, and is capable of nearly unlimited connection speeds to the Internet. This fibre connection is a redundant link with multiple fibre strands entering the building. At the other end of the fibre link, Foreground Image is multi-homed with no less than 3 different bandwidth providers ready to serve you.

Back-up Power

Our enterprise-class APC UPS constantly cleans the power that your equipment receives and provides battery backup, as you need it. We also have an on-site 650 KVA (1,200 Horsepower) Volvo diesel generator, ready to keep the power running strong, when needed, and for as long as needed. And, if that was not enough, we have also provisioned a remote hookup on the outside of our offices building for a locomotive-scale generator on a 2-hour standby.

Security

Security is posted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access to the server space requires both a special "i-button" key as well as a Bio-Med fingerprint identification. We use recorded video surveillance and can provide extended in-suite security services. At this time we are actively pursuing a C2 classification, with C1 facilities coming soon.

Air Conditioning and Fire

The on-site 250,000 BTU air conditioning system keeps our facilities at a constant 65 degrees. We use a 2-stage water-based fire suppressant system. The sprinkler system remains dry until there are 2 alarms activated in a suite.
