Synopses

A show that takes you to a behind the scenes of Toronto city buildings and landmarks, that are typically off limits to the general public. Jennifer Stanley, the host of the show brings you a fresh young approach to the goings on and operations of some of the most interesting and offbeat locations around the city.

Treatment study

The treatment for the show went through several dozen versions, evolving from the original concept before I felt I had reached one that conveyed a sense of purpose and meaning, while still maintaining a reflection of what the show was about. 

Since the show has a diverse audience I wanted to create a feeling of excitement and anticipation. By creating a blend of video, graphical and 3d composite elements and delivering the components of the composition through a steady stream of mini-vignettes flowing seamlessly into each other, the piece began to represent the dynamic pace of the show.

To keep a soft texture of the imagery I decided to use the host Jennifer Stanley’s wholesome look, fair complexion and natural style against a crisp white background. Placing her as the main vehicle in which the different sections of the montage would flow the audience would associate her personality with the shows brand.
